IMPORTANT: Emergency Registration Sugar Beet

Emergency registration of NeemAzal-T/S in Germany for 4 applications (from May 01, 2022 to August 28, 2022) against aphids as viral vectors!

From the Kernels of the Neem Tree

NeemAzal®-T/S contains NeemAzal®, the pure active ingredient from the kernels of the tropical neem tree Azadiracta indica A. Juss. The active ingredient is obtained as a powdery plant extract in a specially developed process. The extract clearly stands out from inferior and sometimes harmful neem oils, which can contain questionable impurities and are not approved as plant protection products in Europe due to lack of standardization. Our extraction process guarantees a consistently high quality.
The biological insecticide NeemAzal®-T/S also contains formulation additives based on renewable raw materials for a high efficiency against a wide range of insect pests.

NeemAzal®-T/S at a Glance

NeemAzal®-T/S contains NeemAzal®, the purified active ingredient of the seed kernels of the tropical neem tree. The active substance permeates into the leaves and is distributed partially systemic in the plant. It is ingested by pest organisms via suckig or feeding.

NeemAzal®-T/S has no immediate toxic effect (no “knock down”) and has a special multi-stage mode of action. Within a few hours after application of NeemAzal®-T/S, it has an inactivating effect on a wide variety of free-living sucking, chewing and leaf mining insects such as aphids, whiteflies and thrips. The pest insects cease their food uptake and thereby their plant-damaging activities. The developmental and moulting processes of the pest organisms are inhibited, which leads to mortality after a few days. In adult organisms, fertility is significantly reduced.

The multi-stage, slow mode of action of NeemAzal®-T/S hould be taken into consideration when assessing efficacy. Therefore, it is more important to assess plant-protective effects (e.g. absence of feeding damage, colonies or honeydew production) than to assess the number of dead pest organisms. Aphid colonies are often still visible for some time, but the young aphids do not develop anymore.

NeemAzal®-T/S is not dangerous to honey bees under the recommended application conditions (B4).

NeemAzal®-T/S   is harmless for most beneficial organisms and can be used alongside them. Beneficial organisms can make an important contribution to reducing pest insects.
