Pherosphere 2026 – Science in Dialogue

Perosphere 2026 took place in Dossenheim from 8 to 12 March. The international workshop organised by the IOBC/WPRS Working Group on ‘Pheromones and Other Semiochemicals in Integrated Production’ was hosted by the Julius Kühn Institute (JKI).

The event brings together experts from academia, consultancy and the field to examine and discuss the latest developments concerning pheromones and other semiochemical signals – that is, natural signalling substances – in integrated pest management.

Trifolio-M GmbH was also represented at Pherosphere 2026 and took part in the professional discussions. Direct dialogue on current issues and practical experiences is an important part of such international specialist events.

The topics covered at the conference included, amongst others:

  • behaviour-based approaches such as mating disruption and attract-and-kill
  • the role of semiochemical signals in supporting beneficial organisms
  • new dispenser and application technologies
  • AI-powered monitoring tools
  • as well as the impact of climate change on chemically mediated interactions

The program was complemented by plenary sessions, presentations, poster presentations and numerous opportunities for professional exchange.
