During the annual Biocontrol Week, which took place in Brussels in April, IBMA members exchanged views on current regulatory developments at EU level. A key focus was on the so-called Pesticide Omnibus Package, i.e. the European Commission’s latest legislative proposal to simplify the authorisation of plant protection products.
In particular, there was intensive discussion on the definition of biological plant protection and the proposed procedural adjustments, including the associated challenges and possible solutions.
This was followed by several working group sessions on the topics:
- proteins and peptides
- microbial-based fermented mixtures
- and formulation & application
For Trifolio-M GmbH, Biocontrol Week once again provided an opportunity to deepen professional exchanges with other companies in the field of biological plant protection and to actively follow current discussions at European level.
